Every dog has their own routine

Dogs have different personalities, sleeping habits, feeding schedules and comfort needs. Before confirming a stay, we review the information in your dog’s profile so our team can prepare appropriately.

Please make sure your dog’s KennelBooker profile is up to date, including feeding instructions, medication needs, allergies, medical history and current vaccination information.

A thoughtful first step before Boarding

Every new Boarding guest must complete and pass a Trial Day before their first overnight stay. This helps us get to know your dog, understand their behaviour and comfort level, and make sure Dogs Paradise is the right environment for them.

The Trial Day allows us to:

  • Introduce your dog gradually to the Dogs Paradise environment
  • Understand their social comfort and individual needs
  • Review the most suitable care and routine arrangements
  • Confirm that Daycare and/or Boarding is appropriate
  • Help create a positive, low-stress Boarding experience

How to Request a Trial Day

  1. Click Request Trial Day.
  2. On the KennelBooker portal, select “Are you a new customer?”
  3. Create an account and complete your dog’s application.
  4. Upload current vaccination records.
  5. Submit your Trial Day request.
  6. Dogs Paradise reviews the information before confirming the appointment.

Planning ahead for busy periods

Boarding availability can be limited during school holidays and peak travel periods. We recommend booking early, particularly for longer stays and holiday dates.

During peak holiday periods, a minimum two-night Boarding stay applies. Peak dates are set by Dogs Paradise and may change from year to year. Cancellations during peak periods must be made at least seven days before arrival.

Outside peak periods, standard cancellation terms apply.

Convenient travel arrangements

For families who need additional flexibility, Dogs Paradise offers an optional shuttle service, where available, for Boarding arrivals and departures.

Shuttle features:

  • Door-to-door collection and return
  • Comfortable, secure transport
  • Arrangements tailored to your stay where possible
  • Boarding shuttle rates may differ from Daycare shuttle rates

Boarding FAQs

Q: Does my dog need a Trial Day before Boarding?
A: Yes. Every new dog must complete and pass a Trial Day before accessing Boarding.

Q: Can my dog stay overnight if they have not used Daycare before?
A: A dog does not need to be a regular Daycare guest, but they must first complete and pass a Trial Day so we can assess whether Boarding is suitable.

Q: What should I bring for my dog’s stay?
A: Dogs Paradise will provide clear preparation guidance when a Boarding stay is confirmed. Please ensure your dog’s KennelBooker profile, feeding instructions, health information and vaccination records are current.

Q: Can you give my dog medication?
A: Medication support may be available where agreed in advance. Please include full instructions in your dog’s KennelBooker profile and contact Dogs Paradise before the stay if your dog has specific medical needs.

Q: How far in advance should I book?
A: Book as early as possible for school holidays and peak travel periods, as availability may be limited.
